Preparing the table of contents ( Research Structure )

The table of contents includes the main headlines of the study and its sub-headings, it also represents divisions of chapters and what it includes of sections , and parts.

Table of content requires from the researchers the totalitrian and the ability to determine the titles that must be discussed in the study, as ignoring any essential topic could weaken the study.

In general, the table of contents consists of five basic chapters. These chapters include the introduction, the theoretical  framework, the methodology of the study, data analysis, and conclusion ( results and recommendations ). In the doctoral thesis, the table of contents consists of more than five chapters ( a minimum of six chapters ), where increasing is in the theoretical framework , and the researcher expands it clearly beyond the master's thesis.
